Yar’adua Hails New APC Leadership, Congratulates Yilwatda, Basiru, Kanki

Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua has extended warm congratulations to the newly elected National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress, describing their emergence as a defining moment for the party’s future.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the lawmaker commended Nentawe Yilwatda and Ajibola Basiru on their unopposed election as National Chairman and National Secretary of the party, respectively.
He noted that their emergence signals the beginning of a new chapter for the APC, expressing confidence that their leadership would inject renewed energy, unity, and strategic direction into the party.
“This marks a new chapter in the party’s journey, and I am confident that your leadership will bring renewed energy and focus to the APC,” Yar’adua stated.
The senator also congratulated members of the newly constituted NWC, urging them to seize the opportunity to reposition the party, strengthen its internal structures, and advance the party’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Your collective experience and dedication will undoubtedly propel the APC to greater heights,” he added.
Yar’adua reserved special praise for Muratala Aliyu Kankia on his election as National Legal Adviser, describing him as a loyal party stalwart and a proud ambassador of Katsina State.
“You are a total party man. Your expertise and commitment will be invaluable to the party,” he said.
He expressed optimism that the new leadership would usher in an era of unity, progress, and sustained success for the APC.
