Eid-el-Fitr: Yusuf Urges Peace, Unity Among Kano Residents

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has extended warm Eid-el-Fitr greetings to residents of Kano, calling for peaceful and orderly celebrations across the state.
In a message conveyed through his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor described Eid al-Fitr as a time for gratitude, reflection, and renewed commitment to the values of faith, unity, and compassion nurtured during Ramadan.
He urged residents to celebrate responsibly, warning against any actions that could disrupt public peace or undermine stability.
Governor Yusuf also stressed the need for tolerance and mutual respect among citizens, encouraging harmonious coexistence regardless of differences.
He called on parents and guardians to guide their children and wards towards responsible conduct throughout the festivities.
Highlighting the spirit of giving associated with the season, the governor encouraged support for the less privileged, in line with Islamic teachings.
Yusuf further reassured residents of his administration’s commitment to safety, noting that security agencies have been adequately mobilised to ensure a smooth and incident-free celebration across the state.
