President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has congratulated Muslims across Nigeria and around the world on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, urging renewed commitment to compassion, unity, and generosity.
In a statement issued through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio commended the faithful for successfully completing the Ramadan fast, describing the season as one that reinforces the values of sacrifice, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
He called on Muslims to sustain the virtues of almsgiving, empathy, and kindness beyond the holy month, stressing the importance of supporting the less privileged in society.
Akpabio noted that Eid-el-Fitr offers an opportunity to strengthen bonds of unity and promote mutual understanding among Nigerians, regardless of religious or ethnic differences.
He further prayed for peace, progress, and prosperity in the country, extending his goodwill to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all Muslim faithful celebrating the festive occasion.
The Senate President encouraged citizens to use the occasion to foster harmony and contribute positively toward building a more just and inclusive Nigeria.
