The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has launched a digital membership registration portal in Abuja, marking a major push to deepen citizen participation, modernise party operations, and expand its footprint across Nigeria.
The unveiling ceremony was led by the party’s National Leader, Henry Seriake Dickson, alongside National Chairman Cleopas Moses and National Secretary Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, with party leaders and stakeholders from across the country in attendance.
Dickson described the platform as a bold step toward building a 21st-century political movement capable of attracting Nigerians at home and abroad. He said the portal allows seamless registration from any location while ensuring accurate documentation and efficient data management.
“We are building a modern political organisation that reflects the aspirations of Nigerians everywhere,” he said.
He revealed that the party, though recently formed, has already recorded growing interest nationwide, with citizens reaching out to align with its vision.
Reaffirming the party’s national outlook, Dickson stressed that the NDC is not regionally driven but committed to uniting Nigerians under a shared democratic purpose.
To bridge the digital divide, he added that the online system will be supported by manual registration in rural communities. Printed forms will be distributed through party structures at state, local government, and ward levels to ensure inclusiveness.
On the state of the nation, Dickson said widespread frustration with current realities has created an opening for a credible alternative.
“Nigerians are not just dissatisfied; they are eager for real change,” he said, positioning the NDC as a platform ready to meet that demand.
He further portrayed the party as a fresh, crisis-free movement anchored on ideology, unity, and development, urging Nigerians to key into its vision early.
In his remarks, Moses said the digital portal would simplify membership registration, promote transparency, and strengthen grassroots mobilisation.
“This initiative makes it easier for Nigerians to participate actively in shaping the future of the party,” he said.
Party officials noted that the platform also enables users to complete registration online and obtain digital membership cards, describing it as a critical tool for the party’s growth and engagement strategy.
