The Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda Alumni Association has invited graduates of the institution from its establishment in 1982 to date to participate in its forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
In a press release issued on March 5, 2026, and signed by the National President, Abdulrazak Bello Kaura, and the Secretary General, Rimamyang Amos Igban, the association called on all alumni to attend the gathering, describing it as an important platform for deliberation on issues affecting both the institution and its graduates.
According to the statement, anyone who has successfully completed a programme and obtained any certificate awarded by the Polytechnic is recognised as an alumnus or alumna of the institution and automatically regarded as a member of the Alumni Association.
The association noted that the AGM will provide an opportunity for alumni and other stakeholders to discuss key challenges facing the institution and its graduates, while also exploring ways to strengthen the alumni network.
Among the issues slated for discussion are the lingering dichotomy between the Higher National Diploma (HND) and Bachelor’s Degree (BSc), funding challenges confronting the Polytechnic, unemployment among graduates, and the review and adoption of the Association’s constitution.
Other matters aimed at promoting the progress of the institution and enhancing the welfare of alumni members will also be considered during the meeting.
The meeting is scheduled to hold on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Ahmad Asha Multipurpose Hall.
The Alumni Association urged all graduates and stakeholders to attend and contribute meaningfully to discussions that will shape the future of the institution and the alumni body.
The association expressed optimism that the collective input of members would help advance the development of their alma mater and strengthen the unity of its graduates.
