A former Commissioner for Water Resources in Kano State, Umar Doguwa, has returned his official vehicle to the state government following his resignation from the State Executive Council.
Doguwa, who recently emerged as the Kano State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), handed over the vehicle to the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Faruk, in line with government regulations.
Speaking during the handover, Doguwa said the vehicle was assigned to him solely for official duties and therefore belonged to the government. He added that it was still in good working condition.
He also expressed appreciation to the governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, for the opportunity to serve in the administration, noting that the experience gained in public office would remain valuable.
Receiving the vehicle, the SSG commended Doguwa for demonstrating responsibility and accountability by returning government property after leaving office.
Faruk said the gesture reflects integrity in public service and sets a commendable standard for other public officials.
