Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has described the Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. AbdulMalik Sarkin Daji, as a steady and forward-looking leader whose stewardship has brought cohesion and renewed energy to the legislature.
In a goodwill message marking the Speaker’s 44th birthday, the Governor, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, praised Sarkindaji’s leadership style, noting that his calm disposition, clarity of purpose, and legislative acumen have strengthened the House over the last two years.
Governor Bago said the Speaker’s alignment with the New Niger Agenda has helped refocus the Assembly on purposeful lawmaking, resulting in policies that support development and encourage cooperation between the legislature and other arms of government.
According to the Governor, the Speaker’s commitment to public service has made the 10th Assembly more responsive and effective, creating an atmosphere of collaboration that continues to benefit governance in the state.
He also commended the Assembly for the support it has extended to his administration, describing the relationship as one rooted in mutual respect and shared responsibility. Governor Bago assured that the partnership would be further strengthened to deliver improved living standards for residents of the state.
