Onaiwu Challenges APC: Stop Attacking Saraki, Focus on Kwara’s Real Problems

Former Director-General of the Saraki for President Organisation and veteran political strategist, Earl Osaro Onaiwu has taken aim at the Kwara APC, accusing the ruling party of using Dr. Bukola Saraki’s name as a political smokescreen.
Onaiwu dismissed claims that Saraki engaged in political double-dealing as “baseless distractions,” urging the APC to confront its own internal divisions instead of targeting a politician who has never belonged to their party.
“Dr. Saraki is a national figure whose influence spans parties,” Onaiwu said. “The APC should focus on governance challenges instead of manufacturing controversies around a former Senate President.”
Highlighting Saraki’s track record, Onaiwu described him as Nigeria’s best Senate President, under whose leadership the upper chamber was independent, productive, and globally respected. He added that cross-party dialogue, often criticized by APC leaders, is a mark of democratic maturity, not betrayal.
Onaiwu challenged the APC to address the issues affecting Kwara residents—rising insecurity, economic hardship, and declining quality of life—rather than recycling attacks from the political sidelines.
“Political diversion won’t solve the state’s problems,” he said. “If APC in Kwara has a clear vision for 2027, it should communicate it directly to its followers, not drag Saraki into the conversation.”
He concluded by affirming that Saraki remains focused on democratic values, with a legacy that speaks louder than any press statement.
