The Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, has congratulated the people of Jigawa State and Nigerians at large as they usher in the New Year, 2026.
In a New Year goodwill message personally signed by him, the Speaker expressed optimism that the dawn of a new year presents fresh opportunities to build on past achievements, learn from challenges, and work collectively towards greater prosperity, security, and sustainable development in Jigawa State.
On behalf of his fellow Honourable Members of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dangyatin extended warm greetings and best wishes to all citizens and residents of the state, describing the New Year as a period of renewed hope, unity, hard work, and collective commitment to growth and development.
The Speaker commended the visionary leadership of Governor Umar Namadi, praising his unwavering dedication to good governance, people-oriented policies, and sustainable development. He reaffirmed the House of Assembly’s full commitment to supporting the Executive through effective legislation and robust oversight in the overall interest of the people.
As the state enters 2026, Rt. Hon. Dangyatin urged citizens to continue to live in peace, uphold the values of tolerance and mutual respect, and support government programmes aimed at improving the welfare of the people.
He prayed that the New Year would bring abundant blessings, good health, peace, and prosperity to every household in Jigawa State.
