***Assures of renewed commitment to staff welfare

The Clerk of Kogi State House of Assembly and Head of Legislative Service, Alhaji Ahmed Sule Chogudo, has on Christians to embrace and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ with renewed hope for a better Nigeria.
Shogudo made the call in his Christmas Message contained in a press statement signed by the Deputy Clerk (Administration and General Service) of the Assembly, Mr Aka Adebayo Michael, on Wednesday in Lokoja.
He described the Christmas as a season of reflection, love, and gratitude, calling on staff members to remain steadfast, optimistic, and committed to their responsibilities despite prevailing challenges as there is hope for the country.
The Clerk extended warm Christmas and New Year greetings to staff of the Assembly and the people of Kogi State, urging them to embrace hope, unity, and renewed dedication to service.
Chogudo praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his steadfast commitment to workers’ welfare, describing the governor’s administration as people-oriented and responsive to the needs of civil servants across the state.
According to him, Governor Ododo’s policies and programmes are deliberate efforts aimed at improving the standard of living of Kogi people, particularly through prompt payment of salaries, welfare-driven initiatives, and inclusive governance.
He reassured staff of the Assembly of his unwavering commitment to their welfare as he noted that the Legislative Service under his leadership would continue to prioritize staff welfare.
Chogudo said staff capacity development and provision of a conducive working environment to enhance productivity and professionalism were part of his primary focus.
“Christmas is a season that reminds us of hope, sacrifice, and service to humanity. I want to assure all staff of the Kogi State House of Assembly that their welfare remains a top priority.
“My office will continue to work tirelessly to improve their working conditions and overall well-being”, he said.
Alhaji Chogudo prayed for a peaceful Christmas celebration and a New Year filled with greater achievements for staff of the Assembly and the entire state.
He further called on legislative personnel to continue to support the leadership of the House and the state government in building a stronger and more prosperous Kogi State. (Ends)
