The Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Birninkudu, Jigawa State, has applauded the series of humanitarian and selfless service awards bestowed on its Chief Medical Director, Dr Adamu Abdullahi Atterwahmie, describing the honours as timely and richly deserved.
In a statement issued in Dutse and signed by the centre’s Public Relations Officer, Auwalu Yusuf, the management said the recognitions reflect Dr Atterwahmie’s outstanding contributions to healthcare delivery, peace-building and community development.
Dr Atterwahmie, a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist, was recently inducted as a Fellow of the Humanitarian Institute for Peace and Community Development at a ceremony in Abuja, alongside state governors and other notable personalities.
He was also named a Life Ambassador for Peace by the Legacy International Centre, Accra, Ghana, in collaboration with African Update International Magazine, during an Abuja event attended by prominent dignitaries.
In addition, he emerged Humanitarian of the Year at the annual conference of HAFYDOF (National), held in Dutse, Jigawa State, with state chairmen and national officers in attendance.
The FMC management congratulated the CMD on the multiple honours, noting that they underscore his tireless dedication, selflessness and unwavering commitment to humanitarian causes, which have touched many lives.
The statement highlighted his passion for quality healthcare delivery, commitment to community development and consistent support for the less privileged as key factors behind the accolades.
