The office of Senator Jibrin Isah (Echocho) has confirmed the designated site for a new 20-bed clinic in Omedo Ajogobi, Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State — a project expected to significantly improve healthcare access for rural residents.
A delegation led by Alhaji Akpa Omale visited the Palace of the Onu Ankpa, Alhaji Abdulmalik Umar, to formally communicate the senator’s commitment to delivering the long-awaited health facility. Omale said the project reflects Echocho’s ongoing effort to bring life-saving infrastructure to remote communities, noting that Omedo Ajogobi was prioritized due to its years-long lack of medical services.
Receiving the team, the Onu Ankpa expressed deep appreciation to Senator Echocho for placing the welfare of his people at the forefront. He offered prayers for the successful execution of the project and assured full cooperation from the traditional institution.
According to the senator’s media aide, Mikail Ibrahim, representatives from both the palace and the senator’s office jointly inspected and approved the site.
“Work will commence in the coming days, and the clinic will be fully equipped to provide essential healthcare services once completed,” Ibrahim stated.
