Tinubu vows decisive action to end insecurity, revive North

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s determination to end Nigeria’s security challenges and unlock the full economic potential of the northern region, declaring that the government is pushing forward with decisive reforms and strategic investments.
Speaking through the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, at the 25th Anniversary of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) in Kaduna, Tinubu said the government is demonstrating unprecedented urgency in tackling terrorism, banditry and kidnapping, and is steadily closing the space for criminal networks across the country.

He noted that his administration is implementing far-reaching measures to stabilise affected communities, rebuild trust, and restore safe environments necessary for education, agriculture and commerce to thrive again.
Tinubu highlighted the economic turnaround already taking shape in the North, expressing confidence that the region is on the verge of a new era of growth. He pointed to emerging oil fields such as Kolmani as catalysts for fresh industrial activity and long-term revenue opportunities.
He added that major national projects, including the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano Superhighway, are being accelerated to enhance mobility, open trade corridors and strengthen regional integration.
The president urged leaders across the North to remain united, courageous and solutions-driven, emphasising that the region’s diversity and resilience continue to serve as powerful assets.
Tinubu hailed the Arewa Consultative Forum for 25 years of dedicated service, describing the body as a stabilising force and a strong voice for dignity, fairness and equity in Northern Nigeria.
