Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua has congratulated the people of Katsina State on the 38th anniversary of its creation, calling the milestone “a bridge between our proud past and an ambitious future.”

In a statement marking the anniversary, the Katsina Central lawmaker applauded the foresight of General Ibrahim Babangida, who established Katsina State on September 23, 1987, and saluted the generations of leaders and everyday citizens who have upheld its values of hospitality, resilience, and community spirit.

“Our festivals, culture, and generosity have made Katsina the Home of Hospitality,” Yar’adua said. “But anniversaries are not only for remembrance—they are opportunities to renew our vision. Katsina must now be at the forefront of innovation, development, and unity.”

He encouraged residents to support Governor Dikko Umar Radda’s “Building Your Future” agenda, highlighting its focus on infrastructure, youth empowerment, agricultural transformation, and security. “The next chapter for Katsina depends on our collective effort. When we stand together, there is no challenge we cannot overcome,” he added.

Senator Yar’adua urged the state’s young people to see themselves as partners in progress: “Your energy, ideas, and talent will shape Katsina’s destiny. Let this anniversary inspire you to dream big and work for a state that future generations will be proud to inherit.”

“Happy 38th anniversary, Katsina,” he concluded. “May our unity remain strong, our traditions vibrant, and our future bright.”
