***Pledge support for Tinubu, Ododo’s re-election bids

The people of Ofu Constituency in Kogi State have unanimously passed a vote of confidence on their representative in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Ahmodu Shehu Seidu (APC), and endorsed his third-term bid.

The endorsement came during the commissioning of projects initiated by the lawmaker, including lock-up shops in Ogbonicha and Alloma, as well as an empowerment programme held in Ejule.


Constituents praised Hon. Seidu for what they described as impactful representation, highlighting his developmental strides such as the construction of five lock-up shops, reconstruction of Ugwolawo Central Mosque, and provision of two 500 KVA transformers for Ofoke and Ogbabo communities.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Seidu thanked his constituents for their support and explained that the empowerment programme was part of his stewardship. He urged them to continue backing the administrations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, while pledging support for their re-election in 2027.
Kogi State Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Salifu, lauded the lawmaker’s efforts, describing them as purposeful representation and a clear delivery of democratic dividends. He said Seidu’s initiatives complement the governor’s vision of transforming the state and improving the lives of the people.
Chairman of Ofu Local Government Area, Hon. Mohammed Lawal Musa, hailed the projects as unprecedented and thanked the state government for backing lawmakers in bringing development to grassroots communities.
Similarly, the Director-General of Kogi Community Watch, Hon. Muhammed Nasiru Alfa, urged other leaders to emulate Hon. Seidu’s commitment.
The Ejeh of Ofu and Chairman of the Ofu Traditional Council, Chief Akwu Obaje, also commended the lawmaker for “changing the narrative” in the area, describing the event as historic.
Goodwill messages were delivered by the Chief Whip of the Kogi Assembly, Hon. Asema Baba Haruna (APC–Adavi); Ofu APC Chairman, Hon. Yahaya Shagari; and NYCN Coordinator, Comr. Saddam Akpodu.
