Obidient Movement Meets Professor Pantami, Champions Good Governance Across Nigeria

In a strategic move to advance its mission for good governance and strong leadership, the Obidient Movement engaged Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, the renowned Nigerian Islamic scholar, academic, and former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy.
The meeting, held as part of the movement’s “Building Bridges Across the Niger” initiative, focused on promoting transparency, accountability, and citizen-centered leadership—a vision inspired by His Excellency Peter Obi.
Professor Pantami brought decades of expertise in technology, academia, and public service to the discussion. He holds a PhD in Computing and Information Systems from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, and serves as a Professor of Cybersecurity at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri. His career also includes lecturing at Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa University (ATBU), leading technical writing at the Islamic University of Madinah, and heading the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) as Director General.
During the dialogue, the focus was on how technology, education, and principled leadership can drive national development and strengthen institutions. The Obidient Movement stressed that bridging divides across Nigeria and fostering collaboration among leaders, citizens, and experts is key to building a stronger, more accountable democracy.
The National coordinator of the movement Yunusa Tanko said, “Nigeria’s potential is immense. By working together and prioritizing transparency, knowledge, and civic engagement, we can create the Nigeria we all envision. A better Nigeria is possible, and we are committed to making it happen.”
The engagement underscored the movement’s commitment to convening thought leaders and public officials to discuss actionable solutions for the country’s governance challenges, signaling a renewed push for national progress.
