Two notorious drug kingpins, Ajetsibo Emami (37), popularly known as Warri Kinsman, and Solomon Akpomuai (51), have been convicted and sentenced to a combined 10 years imprisonment by the Federal High Court, Lagos.
Director of Media and Advocacy, NDLEA, Femi Babafemi in a statement said, Emami was arrested on June 28, 2025, in Ikeja after NDLEA operatives dismantled his drug trafficking network in a three-day sting operation.
According to the statement, the raid led to the arrest of three accomplices and the seizure of 414.2kg of Canadian Loud cannabis concealed in 24 jumbo bags.
He was arraigned in charge number FHC/L/636C/2025 before Justice Deinde Dipeolu and sentenced on August 18 to six years imprisonment with an option of a ₦50m fine.
Akpomuai’s case followed his arrest by Customs officers along the Shagamu–Ijebu-Ode expressway on June 3, 2025, with 2,197.8kg of skunk cannabis.
He was later handed over to the NDLEA and arraigned in charge number FHC/L/635C/2025. Justice Dipeolu sentenced him to four years imprisonment, also with an option of a ₦50m fine.
Reacting to the convictions, NDLEA Chairman/CEO, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd.), hailed the judgments as proof that the Agency’s balanced strategy of drug supply reduction and demand reduction is yielding results.

“With outcomes like this, Nigeria will sooner than later surmount the menace of substance abuse and illicit trafficking,” Marwa said, commending the judiciary, NDLEA officers, and partner agencies for their commitment to drug free nation.”
