***Vows Stronger Action on Banditry
Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua, representing Katsina Central, has expressed deep sorrow over the brutal attack on worshippers in Unguwan Mantau, Malumfashi Local Government Area, which claimed 30 lives and left many others injured.
In a condolence message to the Government and people of Katsina State, Yar’Adua described the killings as a ‘senseless assault on innocent citizens and on the peace-loving spirit of our people.’

He commiserated with the families of the 13 worshippers slain inside the mosque and the wider community now grieving their loss. “May Allah (SWT) forgive their shortcomings, grant the departed eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus, and give strength to the bereaved families,” he prayed.
The Senator noted that survivors currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre in Katsina and at General Hospitals in Malumfashi and Funtua deserve the full support of both government and society.
Yar’Adua pledged to work with state authorities and security agencies to strengthen community-based initiatives, intensify the fight against banditry, and ensure that criminal elements are rooted out of Katsina. “We owe our people a future free from fear. The time for collective and decisive action is now,” he stressed.
