The Lafia Old Students Association (LOSA) has passed a resounding vote of confidence on its National President, Dr. Faisal Shuaib, while inaugurating landmark projects aimed at restoring the glory of their alma mater, Government Science School, Lafia.

The colourful ceremony, held at the newly remodeled Assembly Hall, attracted dignitaries including Governor Abdullahi Sule, who commended LOSA’s “unwavering commitment” to educational revival. He urged other alumni associations to emulate LOSA’s model in complementing government efforts in education.

During the Annual General Meeting, members unanimously endorsed Dr. Shuaib’s leadership, citing his outstanding achievements in projecting LOSA’s name nationally and internationally. A motion for the vote of confidence was moved by Muhammad Isa and seconded by Priscilla Michael, passing without objection.

Former Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government, Timothy Anjide, who chaired the occasion, urged the re-elected executive to sustain their developmental momentum.

Visibly moved by the show of support, Dr. Shuaib pledged to “exceed all expectations,” promising further interventions in healthcare, education, and human capital development. He credited LOSA’s collective spirit for the association’s success and called on well-meaning individuals to join in advancing educational infrastructure.

The new three-year term, as provided by the amended LOSA constitution, will see Dr. Shuaib continue spearheading initiatives to uplift the school and community.

The event also featured lifetime achievement awards to Governor Sule, the Emir of Lafia, the Esu Karu, and other stakeholders for their contributions to education and community development.
