The Managing Director of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Barrister Oluwaseun Faleye, has called on Nigerian employers to adopt data-driven solutions to enhance workplace safety and productivity.
Speaking at the opening of a four-day training on Enhanced Occupational Safety and Health at Kakanfo Inn, Ibadan, Faleye—represented by the Fund’s General Manager of Health, Safety, and Environment, Mr. Tony Eke—emphasised that modern workplaces demand more than routine compliance.
“We must move from reactive measures to proactive, automated strategies that not only boost productivity but also save lives,” he said. “This training marks a major step towards building safer, smarter, and more sustainable work environments.”
Faleye noted that NSITF had already digitized its operations, adding that the training was designed to ensure stakeholders are equipped with the right tools for digital transformation and global best practices.
Organised in collaboration with Beam Box Projects and Consulting Services Ltd, the training is part of a trilogy that includes sessions on turning safety compliance into profit and mastering data analytics tools for health and safety. Other sessions are being handled by Surez Global Resources and Sky Quest Concept Ltd.
The concurrent trainings underscore NSITF’s renewed commitment to protecting the dignity and welfare of every Nigerian worker through innovation and capacity building.
