**Approves Special Prayers in Lafia for Late Former President

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State on Saturday led a powerful delegation to Daura, Katsina State, on a condolence visit to the family of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.

The delegation included two former governors of the state — Senator Abdullahi Adamu and Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura — as well as top government functionaries such as the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, and the State Accountant General, Dr. Musa Ahmed Muhammed. Also on the entourage was the Emir of Lafia, His Royal Highness Justice Sidi Bage Mohammed III.
Upon arrival in Daura, the delegation is expected to deliver heartfelt condolences on behalf of the government and people of Nasarawa State to the bereaved family of the late president.
In a further mark of respect, Governor Sule has approved the organization of a special prayer session in honour of the late President Buhari.
The prayers are scheduled to take place on Sunday at the Palace of the Emir of Lafia. All political appointees and senior government officials are expected to attend.
The late President Muhammadu Buhari passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, and was laid to rest according to Islamic rites on Tuesday, July 15, in his hometown of Daura.
