The Chief Judge of Kogi State, Hon. Justice Josiah Majebi, has commended the Kogi State Police Command for its high level of professionalism, respect for the rule of law, and ethical conduct in the discharge of its duties.
Justice Majebi gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to the State Commissioner of Police, CP Miller Dantawaye, at the Police Command Headquarters in Lokoja.
He noted that the visit was part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the Judiciary and the Police for enhanced criminal justice delivery in the state.
The Chief Judge lauded CP Dantawaye for his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to maintaining peace, order, and security across Kogi State. He described the visible impact of the Commissioner’s administration as a product of strategic leadership and disciplined professionalism.
Justice Majebi also commended the Command’s management team for their collective efforts in supporting the CP and ensuring the delivery of security services statewide. He was particularly full of praise for officers attached to the Judiciary, noting their consistent demonstration of professionalism, humanity, and adherence to the rule of law.
In his response, CP Dantawaye warmly welcomed the Chief Judge and described him as “a father indeed.” He expressed deep appreciation for the visit, which he said signified the strong bond and mutual respect between the two institutions.
The Police Commissioner emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration between the Judiciary and the Police in strengthening justice delivery and improving crime management across the state.
He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and deepening institutional synergy with the Judiciary, adding that the Police remain resolute in their mandate to serve the people of Kogi State with integrity and professionalism.
The visit further solidified the long-standing relationship between the Police and the Judiciary in Kogi, with both leaders agreeing that continued cooperation is essential for the effective administration of justice and the preservation of public order.
