Jigawa NNPP Guber Candidate Dismisses Merger Rumours, Reaffirms Loyalty to Kwankwaso

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 general elections in Jigawa State, Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, has dismissed widespread rumours suggesting the party plans to merge with either the All Progressives Congress (APC) or the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking to journalists at his residence in Dutse, Ringim said there has been no directive from the party’s national leader and former Kano State governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, regarding any potential alliance or merger.

“The speculation is unfounded,” Ringim stated. “As it stands, the NNPP remains united and committed to its ideals. We are waiting on our national leader to provide guidance on the next steps for the party as we look ahead to 2027.”

He urged party members and supporters across Jigawa State and the nation to remain focused and loyal to the NNPP, stressing that any future political decision would come directly from Senator Kwankwaso.

“I want our members to know that we are fully committed to the NNPP. Any change in direction will be communicated by our leader, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, whom we trust and follow for the progress of the nation,” he added.

Ringim also called on party executives at the ward, local government, and state levels to remain united and continue mobilizing for the growth and success of the party.
