Former Attorney General and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Yakubu A. H. Ruba, has praised the performance of Governor Mallam Umar A. Namadi, FCA, as the administration marks its second year in office, declaring that Jigawa State is firmly on course for sustainable development and prosperity.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, by his Special Assistant on Media Affairs Aliyu Sa’id Ibrahim, he described the Governor’s leadership over the past 24 months as visionary, bold, and focused, noting that significant progress has been made despite initial challenges.
“I join the good people of Jigawa and well-wishers across the nation in congratulating Governor Umar Namadi on the second anniversary of his administration.
His tenure so far has been marked by strategic reforms, people-oriented policies, and a clear vision for development,” Ruba said.

He emphasized that under Governor Namadi’s stewardship, Jigawa has witnessed reforms across sectors, especially in governance, infrastructure, education, and economic planning.
“In just two years, the Governor has shown what purposeful leadership can achieve. He inherited numerous challenges, yet through determination and sound policy direction, Jigawa is being repositioned for inclusive growth and long-term prosperity.”
Calling for continued public support, Ruba urged citizens to stand behind the Governor’s agenda:
“Now more than ever, we must unite behind our leaders. I call on the people of Jigawa to keep praying and to give their unwavering support to Governor Namadi as he continues to work tirelessly for the peace, progress, and transformation of our state.”
