Foundation Support Rural Children Celebrate International Children’s Day in Jigawa

The Baba Azumi Foundation in Jigawa State has sponsored rural children from three different local government areas and participated in the state wide International Children’s Day celebration at Malam Aminu Kano Triangle in Dutse the state capital.

The foundation working on children development, People Leaving with Disability (PWDs) women and youth empowerment projects in the state has selected some schools’ children from two villages of Miga, Gwiwa and Kaugama local government areas bring them to the state capital and attended international children day festival organized by the state government.

Speaking to National Update at the Aminu Kano Triangle, the founder of the foundation, Barrister Aisha represented by the programme manager local rice production, Miss Fatima Aliyu said the aim is to bring the rural people and children inclusive closed to the government, their leaders in the cities.

Miss Fatima Aliyu explained that that their presence hear which is the first time in the live will improve knowledge and curiosity of the rural children by taking them to city and mix with urban schools children an assimilate.

According to her “in the past we (the foundation) has organized the international children day celebration in their respective localities, but this time around we decided to takes them hear to see how it is celebrating in hear to see and meet the leader and mix with the colleagues in the urban schools”.

“As you can see they were all happy, saw the deputy governor, secretary to the state government, commissioner of education and many other top government dictionaries which were never before”.

Miss Fatima Aliyu maintained that “this would encourage them and be develop in many necessary children development activities in education and other sectors to became qualitative future leaders in the state and Nigeria as a hall”.

She said the foundation activities is also included capacity building for women, youth and PWDs skills acquisition training, linkage between government and governse particularly rural dwellers.
