Julius Adamu Begins Consultative Tour Ahead of Bwari 2026 Chairmanship Race

The immediate past Speaker of the Bwari Legislative Arm and leading chairmanship aspirant for the 2026 Bwari Area Council elections, Hon. Chief Julius Adamu, has begun a consultative tour of key political figures, stakeholders, and party executives within the council area.

The two-day visit, which took place on Wednesday, April 14 and Thursday, April 15, 2025, kicked off with courtesy calls on the incumbent Chairman of Bwari Area Council, Hon. Chief John Gabaya, and the Council Secretary, Hon. Eli Peter Kadanya.

During the visit, Adamu presented his PDP Nomination and Expression of Interest Form and sought their support and fatherly blessings for his ambition.

In his remarks, Adamu emphasized his long-standing relationships with many party stakeholders beyond politics and called for unity as the party approaches its primaries.

“In Bwari Area Council, apart from politics, I have personal relationships with so many of you. That’s why I’m here today—to seek your partnership so we can go into this battle together,” he said.

He stressed the importance of party unity ahead of the June 2026 council elections, urging party members to consider the bigger picture of winning the general election, regardless of who emerges as the PDP flagbearer from the primaries.

Following his visit to the council leadership, Hon. Adamu met with PDP leaders and ward executives across all ten (10) wards in Bwari Area Council.
During these meetings, he reiterated his readiness to serve as Chairman and pleaded for their support in clinching the party’s ticket.

He also pledged to build on the achievements of the incumbent chairman, Hon. John Gabaya, whom he commended for delivering tangible development to the people of the area council.

Speaking at the PDP Area Council office, the party chairman, Hon. Ali Emmanuel, thanked Chief Julius Adamu for the visit and described him as “a man we can always count on and hold by his word.” He wished him well in the forthcoming PDP primaries.

With his early consultations and broad engagement, Hon. Chief Julius Adamu appears poised to be a major contender in the race for the PDP chairmanship ticket in Bwari Area Council ahead of the 2026 elections.
