Katsina State Governor, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, has pledged strong support for Nigeria’s cultural revival, declaring his commitment to the Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy’s bold initiatives under Minister Hannatu Musa Musawa.
During a high-profile visit to Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa, in Abuja, Governor Radda pledged strategic support for the Ministry’s groundbreaking initiatives.
Radda praised her vision, saying, “Nigeria has rich cultural assets—we’re ready to help showcase them to the world.”
Speaking with a sense of pride and urgency, the Governor said, “Nigeria is bursting with cultural wealth, yet we have barely scratched the surface of its potential.
“Minister Musawa’s vision gives us hope—not just for preservation, but for transformation.”
Radda announced ongoing efforts in his state, including a N100 million restoration of the historic Gobarau Minaret and a N640 million revitalization of the Katsina National Museum. “These aren’t just structures—they are stories. They are legacies we owe our children,” he added.
Senior Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Nneka Ikem Anibeze in a statement quoted
Minister Musawa to have described the visit as one of the highlights of her ministerial journey. “This is not just about culture; it’s about job creation, youth empowerment, and rewriting Nigeria’s economic narrative through tourism and creativity.”
“Tourism is Nigeria’s untapped goldmine,” she said.

With Katsina leading by example, the partnership signals a cultural comeback—rooted in heritage, powered by creativity, and aimed at creating jobs, boosting tourism, and telling Nigeria’s story louder than ever before.
Beyond the handshakes and camera flashes, the visit reflected a deeper shift—one where culture is no longer seen as an afterthought but as a driver of economic growth, identity, and global relevance.
Governor Radda’s delegation included top state officials, signaling strong political will. As Nigeria’s creative industry continues to inspire globally, this alliance may be the spark needed to ignite a true cultural renaissance—one that empowers the youth, preserves heritage, and positions Nigeria as Africa’s cultural powerhouse.
