In a strategic move set to reshape the landscape of Nigeria’s creative economy, the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy (FMACTCE) has entered into a transformative partnership with Big Win Philanthropy.
This collaboration is poised to drive significant growth and foster data-driven governance, leveraging inter-ministerial coordination to create measurable impact across the creative sector.

The partnership reached a major milestone at a pivotal Inter-Ministerial roundtable that brought together key players from various ministries, including Education and Youth Development, along with other critical stakeholders.
The meeting culminated in a groundbreaking agreement to launch the D30 Data Platform and Mapping initiative, a data-centric approach designed to inform policy, drive growth, and enhance the overall effectiveness of Nigeria’s creative industries.

Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa, praised the collaboration, emphasizing that the development of the D30 Data Mapping Platform represents a key piece in her Ministry’s broader strategy to ignite a renaissance in Nigeria’s creative economy.

Special Adviser to the minister on Media and Publicity, Dr. Nneka Ikem Anibeze in a statement explained that with a bold 8-point agenda and 14 strategic initiatives in play, Musawa’s vision includes fostering economic growth, cultural empowerment, and job creation within the sector.

“This partnership with Big Win Philanthropy is an exciting step towards advancing Nigeria’s creative economy,” said Minister Musawa. “The D30 Data Platform is crucial in understanding how we can better support and promote our creative industries, and this initiative will be a game changer in unlocking the full potential of the sector.”

The meeting also underscored the importance of collaboration between ministries to ensure a united, coordinated effort in addressing the challenges and opportunities facing the creative economy.
The Minister of State for Education, Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad, and the Minister of Youth Development, Hon. Ayodele Olawande, also presented their respective initiatives, focusing on skill development, youth empowerment, and the integration of STEM education—furthering the holistic vision of growth within the creative sector.

As the collaboration deepens, the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, met with Big Win Philanthropy’s leadership, led by President Jamie Cooper, in a courtesy visit that focused on strengthening ties and aligning efforts for greater impact.
The Vice President reaffirmed the administration’s unwavering support for the initiative, recognizing the potential of this partnership to create sustainable results in the creative economy.

“We are fully committed to this partnership and to ensuring that it leads to tangible outcomes that benefit the creative industries and the broader Nigerian economy,” said Vice President Shettima.

The Ministry is also preparing for a major stakeholder roundtable in May 2025, where the national data mapping initiative will be presented to industry leaders, providing a platform for collaboration and ensuring that all efforts are aligned with the goal of fostering growth in Nigeria’s creative economy.

With this transformative partnership, FMACTCE and Big Win Philanthropy are setting a new course for the future of Nigeria’s creative industries—one driven by data, collaboration, and innovation.
