Renowned businesswoman and philanthropist, Aisha Achimugu, has strongly denied reports alleging her arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In a statement issued on Thursday, her media aide, David Abakpa, dismissed the claims as “fake news” orchestrated by detractors seeking to tarnish her reputation. He described the viral report titled *“EFCC Arrests Flamboyant Socialite Aisha Achimugu” as baseless and misleading.

“It is a lie sponsored by enemies! Aisha Achimugu was never arrested or detained by the EFCC. Anyone can verify this from the Commission,” Abakpa stated.

He further clarified that Achimugu is currently out of the country on a business trip, making the alleged arrest impossible.

“Mrs. Achimugu is a law-abiding Nigerian who is highly respected internationally for her legitimate dealings. She is widely recognized for her contributions to job creation and economic growth in Nigeria,” the statement added.

The philanthropist’s camp has urged the public to disregard the false reports, calling them a deliberate attempt to smear her image. Meanwhile, no official statement has been released by the EFCC regarding any such arrest.

As speculation continues, Achimugu’s supporters insisted that her track record speaks for itself, reinforcing her commitment to ethical business practices and community development.
