At a public discussion organized by Kogi East PDP in Focus, Hon. Shittu Idris Haruna, a former Special Adviser to the Governor, reaffirmed the group’s unwavering support for Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in her ongoing dispute with Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Hon. Haruna emphasized that they stand firmly with Senator Natasha in her fight against the intimidation and harassment of women in politics.

“We will not stand by and watch as she faces undue harassment. This is about protecting the rights and privileges of women in politics. We are committed to seeing this case through to its logical conclusion,” he declared.
The group praised Senator Natasha for her courage in speaking out, describing her as a trailblazer for women in leadership.
“In a case like this, someone has to take a stand. Senator Natasha has shown immense bravery in challenging sexual harassment, whether in public office or the political arena.
Her actions serve as a beacon of hope for women across the country,” they stated.

Hon. Haruna also highlighted Senator Natasha’s achievements, asserting that her contributions within a short time have surpassed those of past senators from Kogi State.

“She is an invaluable asset to Kogi State and Nigeria at large. As a party, we are proud to have her in our ranks,” he added.

The Kogi East PDP in Focus vowed to closely monitor the situation and ensure that justice prevails, insisting that no woman in politics should face discrimination or threats for demanding accountability.
