Kogi State First Lady, Hajiya Sefinat Usman Ododo, has congratulated Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her election to the Steering Committee of the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD).
In a statement from her media team in Lokoja, Hajiya Sefinat described the appointment as a recognition of Senator Tinubu’s dedication to gender advancement and social impact across Africa.
“This is a well-earned honor for a leader committed to empowering women, children, and vulnerable groups.
Her election to OAFLAD is a testament to her far-reaching influence beyond Nigeria,” she said.
Commending the First Lady’s initiatives in supporting economic opportunities, education, and healthcare for Nigerian women, particularly in Kogi State, Hajiya Sefinat expressed confidence that Senator Tinubu’s leadership will drive positive change across the continent.
She pledged continued collaboration with the First Lady and other stakeholders to implement impactful programs that uplift women and families in Kogi and Nigeria at large.
