PANDEF congratulates Governors Diri, Otu on emergence as South South Governors Forum Leaders

The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) congratulates His Excellency, Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, and his excellency, Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State on their emergence as Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively, of the South South Governors Forum.
PANDEF Spokesman Olorogun (Sir) Obiuwevbi Ominimini, in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja said their election is a testament to their proven leadership, dedication to governance, and commitment to the development of the South South region.
According to the statement PANDEF is confident that under their leadership, the forum will take bold steps to address critical regional challenges.

“The South South needs strong collaboration to drive progress in key areas, including establishing a robust regional security architecture to combat threats, Prioritizing a regional railway network and marine transportation system.”
The statement also said their appointment will help in reviving and adequately funding the BRACED Commission to drive regional economic integration.
Explaining further, the statement indicated Governors Diri and Otu bring vast legislative and executive experience, positioning them to effectively champion policies and projects that will uplift the region and its people.
