The Minister for Youth Development, Olawande Emmanuel Ayodele, has given his full support to the partnership between Silicon Valley Nigeria Economic Development (SV-NED INC USA/SV-NED Energy Ltd) and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), describing it as a timely and progressive initiative that will benefit Nigerian youth.
Speaking in Abuja during a courtesy visit by HRH Queen Mother Ambassador Amina Temitope Ajayi-Labinjo (Mama Diaspora) and her team, the minister reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the success of the SV-NED/NYSC projects.
He also called for more public-private partnerships (PPP) to enhance youth development, socio-economic progress, and national unity.
The Chairman of SV-NED INC USA/SV-NED Energy Ltd, Ajayi-Labinjo, emphasized that the projects align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and are designed to drive economic growth through, Agriculture, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) development, Affordable housing and Youth empowerment programs
She highlighted the initiative’s impact on Nigeria’s economy, stating that it would Create jobs and increase productivity, attract investments through agriculture, CNG, and housing projects, equip Nigerian youths with essential skills through training, mentorship, and capacity-building programs and boost infrastructural development by establishing CNG gas stations, conversion centers, and affordable housing projects.
Ajayi-Labinjo further explained that the Housing for All initiative, a key component of the Renewed Hope Agenda, aims to make homeownership more accessible through Federal Mortgage Housing Loans with single-digit interest rates and up to 30-year repayment plans.
According to her it will provide Federal Housing Authority Mortgage Bank financing, to support affordable housing projects.
Explaining further, she indicated that the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Programme target 50,000 housing units nationwide.
The SV-NED/NYSC partnership seeks to work closely with government agencies, private sector stakeholders, and international partners to secure. Funding and investment,Technical expertise and Resources for infrastructure development
This multi-sector collaboration will not only enhance economic growth and youth empowerment but also improve the standard of living for Nigerians.
By integrating the Housing for All initiative into our partnership with the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, we can create a comprehensive and sustainable approach to national development,” Ajayi-Labinjo stated.
The minister assured the delegation of his full backing and urged more stakeholders to embrace partnerships that drive meaningful progress for Nigerian youth.
