NOA condoles Jigawa Governor Over deaths of mother, Son

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Jigawa State has expressed deep condolences to the governor and his family during this period of profound sorrow.
In a tragic turn of events, the Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi was struck by grief following the loss of his mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi, and his son, Abdulwahab Umar Namadi, who passed away within 24hours interval
In a statement signed by the agency’s Head of Communication, Miss Sera Ogodo, NOA’s State Director, Alhaji Tijjani Ibrahim, conveyed heartfelt sympathies, describing the double loss as devastating and deeply painful.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Governor Namadi and his family. We pray that Almighty God grants them the strength to bear this irreparable loss and provides solace in these difficult times,” the statement read.

The agency acknowledged the significant role Hajiya Maryam Namadi played as a pillar of support and the promise held by Abdulwahab, whose untimely death has left the family shattered.

Prayers were also offered for Allah to grant both souls eternal rest in Al-Jannatul Firdausi while asking for divine strength for the governor, his family, and the people of Jigawa to endure the tragedy.

The loss has sent shockwaves across the state, prompting an outpouring of support and prayers from leaders, government officials, and the public.
Many describe the tragedy as a reminder of life’s fragility and the importance of unity in times of grief.
This unfortunate incident highlighted the resilience required to navigate personal losses while in public service, as Governor Namadi continues to shoulder the responsibilities of governance amidst personal bereavement.
