    Ex-senate President, Lawan Visits Buhari in Daura, Hails Ex-President’s Legacy

    In a high-profile visit that resonated with political significance, former Senate President Ahmad Lawan met with ex-President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Daura on Wednesday.

    Arriving at 12:40 p.m., Senator Lawan, who represents the Yobe North Senatorial District, was warmly welcomed by the former Nigerian leader.
    His media adviser Dr. Ezrel Tabiowo, in a statement indicated that the two statesmen engaged in extensive discussions, touching on national development and contemporary issues.

    Senator Lawan lauded Buhari’s leadership during his tenure from 2015 to 2023, commending his unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s unity and growth. He conveyed best wishes from his constituents and family, emphasizing their gratitude for Buhari’s statesmanship and vision.

    Speaking after the meeting, Senator Lawan expressed appreciation for Buhari’s hospitality and acknowledged the former president’s continued influence in offering guidance to national leaders.

    In response, Buhari thanked Lawan for his visit and support, pledging his readiness to offer counsel whenever necessary.

    The visit, which took place amid growing calls for national unity and development, is seen as a reaffirmation of mutual respect and shared dedication to Nigeria’s progress.
