Governor Malam Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has sacked Miss Khadija Sidi Suleiman, his Special Assistant on Gender, with immediate effect.
The announcement was made by the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Bala Ibrahim, in a statement obtained by reporters in Dutse.
The statement confirmed that all rights and privileges attached to her office have been withdrawn, and she has been directed to hand over all government property in her possession to the Secretary’s office.

While the statement did not specify the reason for her dismissal, it expressed appreciation for her contributions to the state and wished her success in her future endeavors.
Miss Khadija Sidi Suleiman, a former state radio staff member and civil society activist, was appointed as Special Assistant on Gender alongside over 100 others in the governor’s administration.
Hailing from Kafin Hausa, the governor’s hometown in Kafin Hausa Local Government Area, she is the second appointee to be so relieved of her duties in the past three months.
