Nollywood International Beauty Queen partners FRSC to limit carnage on Nigeria roads
***To enforce Don’t Drink and Drive” programme, patch 64,000 potholes

Nollywood International in collaboration with Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) is to drive the Operation “Don’t Drink and Drive” programme and patch 64,000 potholes as part of efforts to guarantee safety and limit carnage on Nigerian roads.
The current Miss Nollywood International, Hassana Ozohu Salihu disclosed at a dinner with members of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kogi State council, on Monday night in Lokoja.
The Nollywood Queen who said the programme would further help to enforce the “Don’t Drink And Drive and Don’t Drive and Drink” added, “Enough is enough for incessant loss of lives of innocent travellers on our roads.”
Queen Hassana who is the 11th crowned Miss Nollywood International, also disclosed that the collaboration with FRSC cover provision of security in all the borders of Kogi State.
She revealed that Nollywood International, in collaboration with FRSC plans to patch 64,000 potholes on roads across the 36 states of the Federation as part of her projects in the next one year.
According to her, the two projects are designed to help save lives and property of travellers on Nigerian roads across the nation.
As part of her projects, Queen Hassana said Nollywood International would also to drive the campaign against “Sex for Marks Syndrome by saying, “No! to Sex for Marks Syndrome” in the tertiary institutions.
“We are meeting with the Vice Chancellors and Lecturers to ensure that that syndrome is stopped and done away with to enable our young girls walk with their shoulders high and fulfill their God-given destinies.
“I want to use this office to effect a change in this country. I went in to the pageant to feel what the models are feeling and bring a change. I want to be a model with a difference in Nigeria and the world over.
“These projects that I and my manager wish to embark upon are projects that no pageant has ever venture into in the history of Nigeria. Neither is the Miss Universe nor the Miss World has ever ventured into.
“A beautiful queen from Kogi is out to make an impact in the world and is in need of the support of all and sundry to succeed. We want a situation where we will not be heard in Nigeria alone but across the shores of America, Europe and Asia.
“It’s not just a dream but a mission that must come to fruition. It’s a mission that will positively challenge the women and youths across the country to arise and make a difference in the society, ” she said.
Speaking earlier, Mr Godwin Orits-Gee Ogbe, her Manager, who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer, (CEO) of Omedia Nigeria Limited, solicited the support of members of the Correspondents’ Chapel and other Media professionals in the state .
“All the Queen needs from you Journalists is the needed publicity of all her activities in the next one year. I strongly believe that together, we can build a better nation,” Ogbe enthused.
Responding, Mr Segun Salami, Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, assured the Queen of the chapel’s support and collaboration to ensure the success of her programmes. (Ends)
