The First Lady of Kogi State, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, has extended her congratulations to the newly elected Council Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, and Councillors following last Saturday’s local government elections.

She indicated that the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates reflects both divine will and the commitment of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration to serving the people.

Mrs. Ododo urged the elected officials to focus on delivering the dividends of democracy at the grassroots level.
“As you take on your new responsibilities, I wish you a successful tenure,” she stated, emphasizing the importance of their leadership in driving development across the 21 LGAs.

She highlighted key priorities for the council leaders, including infrastructure development, healthcare, education, and inclusive governance. “Your efforts in these areas will significantly enhance the livelihoods of our rural communities, especially vulnerable groups,” she added.

The First Lady called for collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that governance positively impacts rural areas.
