Kogi Poly Rector lauds Gov. Ododo’s approval for N72,500 Minimum Wage

***Commends the health insurance scheme initiative for workers

RECTOR of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman has commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his approval of N72,500 as minimum wage for workers in the state Civil Service.

Prof. Usman who disclosed this in a statement signed by Mrs Uredo Omale, Director, Public Relations and Protocol unit of the institution, also commended the implementation of Kogi State Health Insurance Scheme for the workers.

The Rector, on behalf of the Management, staff and students of the institution, commended the governor describing his actions as historic saying that Kogi is among the first few states to implement the Minimum Wage.

The Professor of Political Science held that the governor’s approvals went further to show his love for the people and reaffirmed the fact that this administration prioritizes workers’ welfare.

Prof. Usman noted that Kogi State workers and particularly, staff of Kogi State Polytechnic, would forever be grateful for the love extended to the institution amidst the current economic hardship.

The Rector appreciated the impressive performance of Governor Ododo and reiterated the unflinching support of the institution’s Management for the administration to succeed.

He commended Kogi workers, particularly those in the Polytechnic, for their steadfast dedication over the years and encouraged them to recommit themselves to delivery of exceptional service. (Ends)
