    Kogi First Lady Empowers Widows with Food, Cash Donations

    Wife of the Kogi State Governor, Hajia Sefinat Ahmed Usman Ododo has initiated the distribution of food items, cash, and branded wrappers to widows across all 21 Local Government Areas in the state.
    The event, held at Government House, Lokoja, is part of the Renewed Hope Initiative led by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, aimed at supporting vulnerable groups, particularly widows.

    Mrs. Ododo acknowledged the hardships widows face and stressed the importance of providing them with necessary support. She reaffirmed her commitment to improving the welfare of women and the less privileged, promising to keep her doors open for further assistance.
    Mrs Ododo who noted that in her capacity as the state cordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative her doors will remain open as she would continue to champion any good cause that impact the lives of women, girls and the less privileged in the society.

    Over 1,000 bags of 25kg rice and 5 million Naira in cash were distributed, along with unity wrappers, in celebration of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary.
    Additionally, Mrs. Ododo extended financial support to a young businesswoman, Andy Ometere, to help sustain her shoe-making business.
