Kogi Speaker urges Nigerians to have faith in Nigeria, Tinubu’s administration

SPEAKER of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf has enjoined Nigerians to, in spite of prevailing circumstances, continue to have faith in the country and the ability of the current administration to turn things around for better.
Rt Hon. Yusuf who made the appeal in his congratulatory message to Nigerians on the occasion of the 64th Independence Anniversary of the country on Monday in Lokoja stressed the need for citizens to be patient with the current administration.
In the statement signed and made available to newsmen by his Chief Press Secretary, Yabagi Mohammed, the Speaker congratulated the people on the occasion of the nation’s attainment of independence from British Colonial Rule.
“Even as there are many challenges confronting the country, there is need for us to be patient and continued to belief in the ability of the current administration to pull the country out of the woods and make Nigeria better”, he said.
The Speaker said government at all levels are working round the clock to ensure they address the socio-economic and political issues confronting Nigeria and urged the citizens to continue to pray and support their leaders to come up with pragmatic solutions to the challenges.
Rt Hon. Yusuf also used the opportunity to congratulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on the occasion of the 64th Independence Anniversary of the country.
He especially praised Governor Ododo for his leadership style which has put the yearnings of the people of Kogi State on the front burner.
The Speaker noted that the Governor has ensured improved infrastructure and other social services for Kogi people, adding that improved welfare for workers across the state has shown a new dawn and that Governor Ododo is a man of the people.
He also congratulated political leaders at all levels, especially members of the State House of Assembly for their service as he appealed to them to redouble their efforts towards making people-oriented legislations that would bring succour to the masses. (Ends)
