In a significant step towards enhancing bilateral relations between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia, the Minister of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa, met with Faisal bin Fadhil Alibrahim, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Economy and Planning, to explore avenues for cooperation.
Special adviser on Media and Publicity Dr Nneka Ikem Anibeze in a statement said the minister’s meeting Alibrahim took place on the sidelines of the Summit of the Future in New York, with discussions centered on fostering cultural and economic collaborations between the two nations.
Musawa emphasized the importance of promoting Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage and the growing creative economy in global forums.
Her engagement with Saudi officials underscores the Nigerian government’s dedication to expanding its influence and partnerships in the international creative and cultural sectors.

The discussions coincide with Saudi Arabia’s launch of the “Echoes of Time” exhibition, which showcases the nation’s archaeological findings and artistic contributions, marking the 20th anniversary of the German Archaeological Institute’s excavation work in the region.
The exhibition also highlighted environmental conservation as a key theme, integrating history and ecology into global discourse.

In the light of the developments, Musawa invited stakeholders to participate in building stronger cultural exchanges and economic cooperation between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
