Aftermath of Edo Governorship: Disquiet in Government House
***As Omobayo, Ogie, Crusoe, Others Abscond from Benin

Few days after the Edo State Governorship Election that saw All Progressives Congress candidate, Senator Monday Okpevbholo emerged as the winner, the state Government House is now like a graveyard.
A visit to the government House by our reporter in Benin revealed that, Governor Godwin Obaseki has left the state for Lagos since on Wednesday.
It also revealed that the imposed deputy governor, Mavilious Omobayo have also Absconded from the state to unknown destination.
Omobayo case is worse following the federal high court, Abuja that have issued form 49 against him for impersonation as deputy governor of Edo state.
It was further gathered that Barrister Osarodion Ogie, the deputy Governorship candidate to Dr. Asue Ighodaro and Crusoe Osagie, Special advisor to Godwin Obaseki on Media has also left Benin for Lagos.
Government activities in the state is partially grounded following the absence of the key government officials.
The only visible government officials in office are the Head of Service and the Secretary to the state government.
Government workers are seen in groups discussing the outcome of the last Saturday 21st Governorship Election in the state.
While some expressed fear of what becomes their faith in the hands of the incoming government of the All Progressives Congress, others were very happy for change of government following the way and manner governor Godwin Obaseki treated them in their various offices especially the Nigeria Observer and Edo State Broadcasting Service
