The month of Rabi’ul Awwal is the third (3rd) month of the Islamic Hijrah calendar. It is also the most significant month in Islamic history, because humanity has been blessed in this month by the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him)

Before the birth of the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) not only the Arabian peninsula, but also the so-called civilized nations of Rome and Persia were drawn into the darkness of ignorance, superstitions, oppression and unrest.

Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) came with the eternal truth of the religion of Islam. The religion of Islam has three indivisible components viz. Tawheed (belief in the oneness of God) Ibadat (act of worship) and Mu’amalat (relationship to God and humanity in general) Islam is the faith which provides a firm basis for the real concept of love, knowledge, equity, justice and peace.

It is on the 12th of Rabi’ul Awwal that the Prophet Muhammad was born. Also on the same day 12th of Rabi’ul Awwal the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) also died.

The life of the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) is, no doubt, the most important source of guidance for all Muslims, and every Muslim is under an obligation to learn and study the events of his life and follow the practical examples set by him in every sphere of life. May God give us the will, passion, patience, zeal, understanding and endurance to emulate and practice the teachings of the noble Prophet, Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)
