Kogi Students laud Gov. Ododo’s Educational Reforms, Pass Vote of Confidence

Leadership of Kogi state students in tertiary institutions has unanimously passed a vote of confidence on Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo over his exceptional contributions to the development of education and prioritization of students’ welfare.
Comrade Gomina Ahmed Kabiru, spokesman of the group and Chairman, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Kogi chapter, made the pronouncement during a press conference in Lokoja.
Kabiru highlighted the governor’s achievements, including the increase in bursary allowance, improvement in infrastructure and enhanced security on campuses.
Other achievements, he noted, include support for technological advancements, commitment to job creation and youth empowerment, promotion of inclusiveness, and sustenance of free education at lower levels.
He said that the Governor had created a conducive learning environment, alleviating financial burdens, and fostering an atmosphere of peace and security.
“We appreciate the deliberate steps taken to improve campus security, ensuring that we can study in a peaceful and safe atmosphere.
“Over the past few months, we have witnessed a series of impactful initiatives, policies, and projects that directly benefit the students of this state.
“His Excellency’s administration has shown an unrelenting commitment to fostering an environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and professionally”, he said.
The NANS Chairman acknowledged the governor’s open-door policy, which has allowed for constructive engagement with government officials on issues affecting students.
The students’ leadership called on their colleagues to continue supporting the administration and contribute to the peace and progress of their institutions and the state.
They expressed gratitude to Governor Ododo for his dedication to students’ welfare and advancement of education in Kogi State, assuring him of their continued support.
This vote of confidence is a testament to Governor Ododo’s commitment to transforming the educational sector and improving the lives of students in Kogi State. (Ends)
