DSS Arrests NLC President, Joe Ajaero At Abuja Airport
The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Joe Ajaero has been arrested by the operatives of the Department of the State Services.
It was gathered that Ajaero arrest happened on Monday morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, while he was on his way to the United Kingdom for an official assignment.
The NLC president was billed to attend the Trade Union Congress conference in London, which begins today.
Head of Information of the NLC, Mr Benson Upah, who comfirmed his arrest said the union does not know where Ajaero had been taken but he indicated tgat it was the DSS that arrested him.
His arrest according to sources is not unconnected with alleged terrorism financing same allegations police had earlier summoned him
Recall that Ajearo and the Secretary General of the union, Emmanuel Ugboaja were invited by the Nigerian Police over alleged terrorism financing charges.
