    YCW congratulates Sanwo-Olu over election as chairman Southwest Governors’ Forum

    The Yoruba Council Worldwide (YCW) (Igbimo Apapo Yoruba Lagbaye) has sent a letter of congratulations to the Lagos State Governor Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, over his election as chairman, Southwest Governors Forum.
    The YCW is the apex umbrella body Organisation for all Yoruba indigenous people globally, committed to ensuring protection of rights and privileges of Yoruba Race towards the preservation of peace and national development respectively.
    The letter which titled Letter of Congratulations as Chairman, Southwest Governors Forum, signed by the President Aare Oladotun Hassan was addressed to the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Lagos House, Ikeja, Lagos, His Excellency,
    Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu
    The letter reads, “With sublime respect, the Yoruba Council Worldwide (Igbimo Apapo Yoruba Lagbaye); being the apex umbrella body Organisation for all Yoruba indigenous people globally, committed to ensuring protection of rights and privileges of Yoruba Race towards the preservation of peace and national development respectively.
    “We heartily felicitate with the good people of Lagos State on Your Excellency’s election as the Chairman, South West Governors Forum at the meeting held in Lagos on 10th June, 2024 respectively.
    “We specially commemd Your Excellency’s Administration on your positive landmarks in Critical Sectors of the Economy, Education, Security and Development of the Centre of Excellence: Lagos State.

    “We use this medium to solicit an appointment with Your Excellency, aimed at discussing mutually on various issues bordering on the followings:
    “We equally commend Your Excellency’s assent to the celebration of the “Yoruba Week” slated for the second week in September, 2024.

    Proposed Dates:

    Your Excellency, kindly pick any date in the month of July, 2024, preferably any date in 8th, 9th and 10th July, 2024. subject to Your Excellency’s convenience.

    Your Excellency, please kindly await your timely response respectfully.

    We shall appreciate Your Excellency’s onward consideration in this regard.
