Eid-El-Fitr: Sustain Ramadan Virtues, Ideals, Values beyond celebration – Kogi Poly Rector Urges

RECTOR of Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr Salisu Ogbo Usman has called on Muslim Faithful to reflect on the teachings of the Holy month of Ramadan and sustain the virtues, ideals and values in their deeds.
In a special Sallah message to the state and nation personally signed by him and issued on Wednesday, the Rector congratulated the Muslim Ummah for the successful completion of the spiritual exercise.
Dr Ogbo Usman however urged Muslims to sustain the virtues of the Ramadan beyond the month and the celebration saying, “Ramadan has been a month of deep reflection, introspection and charitable deeds.
“Let us reflect on the teachings of the Holy month which call for sacrifice and perseverance in order to achieve enormous reward while we live in this world, and the hereafter.
“I also urge us to sustain the virtues, ideals and values beyond the month of Ramadan as it will be of immense benefit to us as individuals, and as a Polytechnic community.
“On this Eid day, may the Almighty Allah shower His blessings upon you and your loved ones, and may He grant you the highest level of happiness and joy on this auspicious day.
“On behalf of the Governing Council, Academic Board, Management, staff and Students of the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, I wish to felicitate with the Muslim faithful on this year’s occasion of Eid-el-Fitr celebration”, he said.
Dr Ogbo Usman Specially felicitated His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and the entire continuity and consolidation team for the successful completion of the Ramadan. (Ends)
