As a passionate member of our great party and a concerned citizen of Nigeria, I humbly urge all lovers of the PDP to select a candidate from Edo South.
Edo South holds the majority of voters within the state. It is the populous region where the majority of Edo citizens reside, and it is crucial for us to acknowledge this fact. By fielding a candidate from Edo South, we can tap into the existing strong ties and an emotional connection that the people have with their own. This connection will drive them to vote en masse for their son, increasing our chances of victory significantly.
Conversely, if the PDP were to nominate a candidate from Edo Central, we risk losing the popular vote. The political dynamics in Edo State have evolved, and a candidate from Edo Central may find it challenging to garner the necessary support outside their region. Furthermore, when we consider the formidable presence of the APC and their federal might, it becomes clear that we must be mindful of unity and inclusivity to secure a victory that is traditionally ours.
To achieve victory, we must critically evaluate the current situation and make strategic decisions as a party. I implore the PDP National Working Committee to actively participate in this process and ensure that the candidate chosen hails from Edo South.
