Chairman Niger Assembly Service Commission dies after brief illness
***Speaker mourns, says his death has created a vacuum

The Chairman Niger State Assembly Commission, Hon. Muhammed Saba Kutiriko died on Monday after a brief illness at a private hospital in Minna, Niger state capital
The newd of his death was broken by the Head of Media and Public Relations, Mallam Farouk Umar Isah in a statement in Minna on Monday.
Mallam Farouk in a three paragraph statement said the late Mohammed Kutiriko was a Member of the 5th Assembly who represented Agaie state Constituency
According to Mallam Farouk, “The death occurred this afternoon Monday 12th January 2024, the Janaiza prayer (burial rite) is scheduled to take place by 5:00 pm at his residence chanchaga”.
He prayed that “the Almighty Allah (SWT) grant his soul eternal rest and give the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss”
Meanwhile the Speaker of the state assembly Rt. Hon. Abdulmalik Sarkindaji has described the death of the late Assembly Commission Chairman as shocking and a great loss to the state house assembly and the state at large.
The speaker said the death of the Chairman came at a time when his service was mostly needed at the legislative arm of government, stressing “his services will be greatly missed”
He regretted that the late Mohammed Kutiriko whom he said was a gentleman and whose wealth of experience in legislative business would have been of immense help to the 10th Assembly, adding that “his death has created a vaccum in legislative business in the 10th Assembly”.
Sarkindaji prayed that almighty Allah grant him eternal rest and the the family the fortitude to bear the loss, as death is a necessary end for all mortals.
Recall that the late Kutiriko was appointed as the Chairman Assembly Commission last year by the state governor, Rt. Hon. Umar Mohammed Bago.
